Which Type of Surface Polish You Prefer after CNC Machining?

Polishing finish means to polish the component surface after CNC machining, the main purpose is to remove the processing marks of the previous process, such as tooling marks, burrs, etc.

Improve surface roughness of parts, obtain a bright and smooth surface, and increase the appearance. But polishing can not improve the dimensional accuracy and position accuracy of the products.

Type of polishing:

– Manual Polish

Manual Polish is the main polishing method currently we do for customer. We can do normal polish and mirror polish as per customer’s demand. The surface effect is excellent but with relatively higher cost.

–  Mechanical Polishing:

Mechanical polishing relies on the grinding and rolling of very small polishing powder to remove a very thin layer of metal on the grinding surface of the sample.

–  Chemical Polishing:

Chemical polishing is a method of eliminating the wear marks by chemical etching of chemical agents on the uneven surface of the sample surface to obtain a smooth surface.

–  Electrolytic Polishing:

The basic principle of electro polishing is the same as chemical polishing, it refers to the special anodizing treatment of metal products in a certain composition to obtain a smooth, bright surface finishing process.
