Features of Laser Cutting

– The laser cutting head does not contact the material surface, ensure not to scratch the workpiece.
– It can process steel plate, stainless steel, aluminum alloy plate, hard alloy, etc. Regardless of hardness can be cut, not deform.
– The cut metal material should not be too thick, otherwise, the heat-affected zone may be too large, can not even cut. Laser cutting applied range very wide, most metal materials can be cut, and unconstrained by shape, some non-metallic materials can also be processed, defect is can only cut thin plate, medium plate.
Wire Cutting Technology
Use of moving metal wire (Molybdenum wire, copper wire or alloy wire) as electrode wire, discharge by pulse spark between electrode wire and work piece, to melt or vaporize metal by producing high temperature, form kerf, to cutting out the parts.
Features of Wire Cutting Technology
– Wire cutting can only cut conductive material, applied range is limited. And during the cutting process need use cutting coolant, so some non-metallic materials such as leather, afraid of water, afraid of cutting fluid pollution of the material, unable to use line cutting. Its advantage is able to the thick plate one-time molding cutting, but the cut edges will be rough.
– Suitable for small batch, complex shape parts, single piece and samples processing, and the lead time is short. Not suitable for processing large quantities of simple shape parts.
– Heat affected zone is more uniform and small. Can cutting thick plate, but the cutting speed is slow. Because of consumables, the processing cost compare with laser cutting is higher.
