The Processing Sequence of CNC Machining
For a CNC machining part, there are often several surface needed to be processed, usually they are in specific accuracy requirements and relative position requirements. To achieve these requirements, it should be arranged the sequence of CNC machining of each surface before production. This is the selection and conversion of the positioning datum determines the processing sequence, and the previous process prepares the positioning benchmark for the subsequent process.
- Before the important surface processing, the actuarial datum should be made a trim, to ensure the machining accuracy of important surface.
- After finishing the actuarial datum processing, it should be proceeded rough machining, semi-finishing and precision machining, for the main surface with high precision requirement. Even for the high precision requirement surface, it needs to do finishing cut.
- It should be processed the actuarial datum surface at the beginning of all the CNC machining, because this actuarial datum surface will be used as a positioning surface for the subsequent processing of the other surfaces.
- During actuarial datum surface machining, it is necessary to use rough datum positioning.
- 5. For the process with higher reject rate, it should be proceeded the precision machining and finishing cut before processing the other secondary minor surface.
