What is 3D Printing?
3D Printing is one kind of Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing, it is also called additive manufacturing.
The basic principle is that, a 3D model made by design or scanning, is cut into an infinite number of sections, according to a certain coordinate axis, and then printed layer by layer, and stacked together according to the original position, to form a solid stereo model, finally the object is printed into the preset shape.
The most prominent technical advantage of the 3D printing is that it can form the parts of any shape directly, from computer graphics data, without mechanical processing or any mold. So that it can greatly shorten the product development cycle, improve production efficiency and reduce production cost.
3D Printing is also reduced material waste greatly, and with eliminating production lines. It can also produce complex shapes that cannot be produced by the conventional manufacturing techniques.
3D printing is widely used in various industries, such as emerging industrial technology, auto, medical, architectural models, scientific research, and various creative products/ toys/ gifts/ costume etc..
